To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region, the Macao Forum of the Greater Bay Area Science Forum was successfully held on December 5, 2024, at the N hall of the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST). The Symposium of the Macao Subforum, was hosted by the MUST, co-hosted by Medical Sciences Division of MUST, and supported by Macao Translational Medicine Center of MUST, focuses on the theme of "International Regenerative Medicine", with participation of renowned experts from institutions like the Karolinska Institute, Peking University, University of Hong Kong, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Tongji University, and supported by BGI, Aurora Borealis Co., Ltd and Accuramed Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

During the opening ceremony, Chair Professor Joseph Hun-wei LEE, Vice Chancellor and President of MUST mentioned that this symposium provides a unique platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, where experts in stem cell research, tissue engineering, gene therapy, and clinical applications can converge to share their insights and findings. The discussions and collaborations that will take place over the course of this event are crucial for addressing some of the most challenging medical conditions and pave the way for a healthier future.
