The Faculty of Medicine at Macau University of Science and Technology hosted the signing ceremony for the Medical Simulation Training Center Pilot Program at the Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau’s Cinalli Ballroom on the 11 February 2025. This initiative marks the world’s first medical simulation training center launched under the advocacy of the Global Fair Pay Foundation in partnership with the Faculty of Medicine at MUST and The First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University / Sun Yat-sen University School of Medicine.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including His Majesty King Yuhi VI of the Royal House of Rwanda, Dame Tessy Antony de Nassau of Luxembourg, Honourable Antonin Staněk, Former Cultural Minister of the Czech Republic, Sir Stephan Breu, President of Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi Christian University, and Honourable Lorna Mae Johnson, Olympian and Clinical Professor at UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. Liu Chak Wan, Chancellor of MUST and Chairman of University Council; Dr. Chen, Ji Min, Vice-Chairman, Secretary-General of University Council, Chair Professor Paul Kwong-Hang Tam, Vice President of MUST; Professor Manson Fok, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Dr. Valencia Chang, Director (Development and Clinical) of the Medical Sciences Division; as well as other guests and faculty members of the Faculty of Medicine.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Sheikh Aliur Rahman OBE, Founder of the Global Fair Pay Foundation; Professor Manson Fok, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, MUST; Professor Ming Kuang, Associate President of The First Affiliated Hospital and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University. Witnesses included Dr. Billy Chan, Director of Center for Education in Medical Simulation; Ms. Lauran Bush, CEO of London Tea Exchange; and Professor Terence Lau, Interim Chief Innovation Officer at the Hong Kong Baptist University.

The Faculty of Medicine at MUST expresses its sincere gratitude to the Global Fair Pay Foundation and The First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University / Sun Yat-sen University School of Medicine for their support and recognition. Through this collaboration, the Faculty aims to lay a strong foundation for the future of medical education, particularly in the Southern Hemisphere. This initiative is expected to enhance medical training through the development of high-quality education programs, simulation-based learning, and innovative curricula.
