Assistant Professor Bo Li of MUST Invited to Present at the ISSCR 2026 Annual Meeting

Assistant Professor Bo Li from the Precision Regenerative Medicine Research Centre of Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) was invited to attend and deliver an oral presentation at the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) 2026 Annual Meeting, held in Montreal, Canada, from July 8 to 11, 2026. He shared the latest research advances from his team in the fields of intestinal organoids, neonatal intestinal injury, and regenerative medicine.

Assistant Professor Li presented in the symposium session “Modulating the Tissue Niche for Therapeutic Success.” His presentation focused on the regulation of tissue microenvironments, intestinal repair, and regenerative therapeutic strategies. He introduced his research team's efforts using organoid-based approaches and regenerative technologies to explore novel treatment strategies for severe neonatal intestinal diseases.

ISSCR is one of the leading global organizations in the field of stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. Its annual meeting brings together experts and researchers worldwide in areas including stem cell biology, organoids, tissue engineering, disease modeling, and cell therapy, showcasing the latest advances in both fundamental research and clinical translation.

During the meeting, Assistant Professor Li also exchanged ideas with researchers from different countries and regions on intestinal stem cells, organoid technologies, the tissue microenvironment, and regenerative therapies, while exploring opportunities for future scientific collaboration.

This oral presentation showcased MUST’s research progress in stem cells, organoids, and regenerative medicine for paediatric diseases, further strengthening the international academic visibility of the University’s related research. Moving forward, the research team will continue to integrate fundamental regenerative medicine research with clinical needs and explore innovative therapeutic strategies for severe neonatal and paediatric intestinal diseases.
